We were looking for a healthy Valentine’s Day Dinner and I was feeling quite lazy that day to cook at home. But I am also very conscious about what to eat out though love to explore healthy eating joints. Organic Express is one of my fav choices in Gurgaon for guilt-free food and they keep appearing in my posts – one here Healthy Eating Out. As the name suggests, they serve organic but the good part is that they also “count the calories”.
I have ordered a couple of times from Organic Express through Zomato, and I was pleasantly surprised to find all new menu on Zomato with many new options like Idli, and Pizza for instance. Zomato made their new menu live on Feb. 14, though it was meant to be effective from Feb 15 onwards. Not knowing that we ordered dinner for four.
Now comes to best part, which is their service, very quick and friendly, got call from Organic Express, and apologetically guy explained the goof-up and helped me pick from the old menu and promised that the remaining amount will be adjusted in next order.
The Valentine’s Day Dinner included –
Thali – We tried the veg thali for the first time. It was really good and a complete homemade touch in every bite – tawa chapatis, daal, mix veg – were all good, nicely balanced spices, flavours and taste and not overly salted (as most of the food out are)
Veg Falafel Wrap – Yum, nice and well stuffed with veggies, and falafel, quite filling too! The chapati in wrap could have been little better though – it was uneven, so bit scope for improvement.

Chana Kulcha – Perfectly cooked (not over boiled) with gravy just the right one.
Pasta in White Sauce – I am not very fond of pastas, and my son loves it (like any other kid), I personally don’t like to order pasta for reason I find it very greasy so prefer to cook at home. Though it was appealing to the eyes with veggies but for me it was average in taste.
Best part is that they serve organic and use whole wheat in most of their preparations. Portions are quite filling, and they are quite consistent in their serving portions. Prices match their portions and quality.
Organic Express continues to be my favs, and hope they continue to serve quality and tasty food, looking forward to ordering from their new menu soon. Check out my other food review posts!
